Join our curator Nicole and fashion designer Anthony Cruz Legarda for a talk on our recent exhibition on Pina textile lace on March 28, 2023, at 7PM PST. "From Pineapple to Piña: A Philippine Textile Treasure," which was on display from April 14, 2022, to November 9, 2022 in Terminal 1, featured a selection of nineteenth-century piña lace from Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles in Berkeley, CA. It also included modern piña garments made by Filipino fashion designer Anthony Cruz Legarda. This lecture is presented by contemporary dance company FakeKnot and explores the creation process for their new dance work titled "Piña." The talk will be ONLINE and recordings will be available to stream. The presentation will last 50 minutes, then conclude with an open 10-minute Q&A.
