The San Francisco Opera is celebrating their centennial online with “Streaming the First Century!” Featuring 25 audio artifacts from previous seasons, archival interviews, newly captured conversations, historical essays, and more, “Streaming the First Century” has hours upon hours of archival Opera performances. Highlights include Turandot with tenor Luciano Pavarotti, a clip of the inaugural performance of Puccini’s Tosca in the War Memorial Opera House, staring Claudia Muzio with Company founder Gaetano Merola conducting, and Il Trovatore with Leontyne Price.
