Alison Saar's "Flourish" is a story of displacement and inclusion; a narrative of seeded with the adversity that migrants and refugees often experience upon arrival. The work is also a portrait of perseverance and resilience - about the future, the flourishing of a new life, and the soil. Rooted in possibility, Saar intends the work to be a beacon that welcomes new travelers to San Francisco and will also serve as a reminder of the common immigrant roots, the riches that thrives from diversity, as well as, from our collective experience.
