Happy Lunar New Year! 2024 is the year of the dragon! Our newest exhibition, “Everyday Elegance in Chinese Ceramics,” features a preserved egg storage jar decorated with two large dragons. The awe-inspiring dragon permeates Chinese history, folklore, religion, and art and ranks highest in the Chinese animal hierarchy.
