#OnThisDay in 1927, the first scheduled Pan American Airways mail service departed from Key West, Florida, to Havana, Cuba. Pan American's first aircraft, a Fokker F-VIIa/3m. The Fokker, registration number NC 53, shown here, inaugurated Pan Am's first scheduled flight carrying airmail from the United States to Cuba.
