Turpen Aviation Museum & Library in the International Terminal. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-harold-bixby-collection-public-panel-discussion-and-exhibition-tour-tickets-764200844297 Harold McMillan Bixby (1890-1965) was a midwestern businessman and amateur pilot, whose passion for aviation led to a second career that encompassed remarkable milestones in air travel during the 1920s and 30s. In 1927, Bixby joined a group of businessmen to help finance Charles Lindbergh’s (1902-74) historic transatlantic flight later that year. Bixby celebrated with the famous pilot after his arrival in St. Louis during the 1928 Goodwill Tour of the Americas. Bixby and Lindbergh remained lifelong friends. “Unlocking an Archival Treasure: The Harold Bixby Collection” is on display in the Aviation Museum and Library.
