#Onthisday in 1929, Panagra (Pan American-Grace Airways Inc.) was formed. As a joint venture between W. R. Grace & Co., a shipping and mining company founded in Peru, and Pan American Airways, each held half of the new airline’s stock. From the 1930s to the 1960s, Panagra served many countries in South America, including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina. Have you traveled to South America?
