“Bay Area Victorian, Bay Area Deco, Bay Area Funk” by Joyce Kozloff, who was born #onthisday in 1942, is inspired by historical decorative styles found in the Bay Area. The left panel, “Bay Area Victorian”, portrays the style and ornamentation of old houses in several San Francisco districts. The right panel, “Bay Area Deco”, refers to the architecture of downtown Oakland in its heyday, and the center panel “Bay Area Funk”, is a collection of Berkeley memorabilia from the 1960s and includes images of many notable rock concert posters. See “Bay Area Victorian, Bay Area Deco, Bay Area Funk” on display, in the pre-security connector between Harvey Milk Terminal 1 and the International Terminal. https://bit.ly/333O4HN This image was posted on December 14, 2021.
