Born in Nagoya, Japan, internationally renowned artist, Seiji Kunishima, creates sculptures characterized by a serene balance between the traditional and the modern. Stacking Stones weighs 14 tons and is created from Nose stone quarried near Nagoya. Each section of rock was shaped to fit into the next and the outer surface was chiseled or polished to create contrasts of color, texture, and depth.
