Pan American World Airways flight attendants were viewed as chic, high-fashion icons of jet-age air travel and were featured in promotions for consumer products and luxury travel abroad. The press release for this photo reads, “Joseph Magnin, Pan American, the Hong Kong Tourist Association and Beltz Travel entered into a unique travel promotion to increase store sales. The components included window and in-store displays, distribution of a travel-oriented summer sales catalogue to over one-half million customers in the San Francisco Bay Area, and a prize drawing of a 23-day trip for two to the Far East. Pictured above are Robert A. Berry, President of Joseph Magnin Company, Charles Beltz of Beltz Travel and Robert F.
