#OnThisDay in 1935, the first of three Martin M-130 flying boats was delivered to Pan American Airways. Named the "China Clipper", this M-130 would go on to make history by inaugurating the first scheduled transpacific air mail service from California to the Philippines. Our exhibition detailing the entire adventurous endeavor, “China Clipper", is on display pre-security, in the Aviation Museum and Library in the International Terminal.
