Glenn L. Martin was born on #onthisday in 1886 in Macksburg, Iowa. An early aviator and aircraft builder, Martin started the Glenn L. Martin Company in 1912. The Martin company produced numerous types of aircraft, including the Martin M-130, which inaugurated scheduled transpacific airmail service in 1935. The Glenn L.
