Our upcoming exhibit on piña lace, a Philippine textile made from pineapple fiber, presented our preparators with the challenge of how to safely display these delicate works of art. The work requires assembling, documenting, photographing, and disassembling the models. This particular aircraft is a remote controlled 1:3.5 scale model of a Davis D-1 with a functional radial engine. #BehindtheScenes#AvGeek#MuseumMonday#MuseumLifeThis tweet was posted on November 22, 2021.
