#OnThisDay the 1937, the Airport Administration and Airline Terminal Building was dedicated. The administration building cost $160,000 in 1937 and within the first year of operation saw 53,398 passengers. Designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, the building included a four-story control tower, restaurant, cocktail lounge, and a grand passenger waiting room with terrazzo floors and a stenciled ceiling.
