Air Afrique was multinational African airline, based in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. Founded #onthisday in 1961, the airline began as a joint venture of Air France and Union Aéromaritime de Transport (UAT) and eleven former French colonies: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Gabon, Mauritania, Niger, the Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal.
