If you've ever flown United out of SFO, you've probably sat near Gate 65 in Terminal 3. These lights are not just fancy decoration but are actually artwork commissioned by @sfacgalleries. It is called Sky by Merge Conceptual Design. The subtle shifts in light and color in the interior of each sphere create an optical effect causing the viewer to lose sense of the spheres' proportions.
