Travel posters endeavor to showcase a destination’s most interesting attractions. As the Transamerica Pyramid was completed in 1972, it is featured in this Pan American poster from the 1980s as one of San Francisco’s newer landmarks. The Transamerica building, once the tallest building in the San Francisco skyline, was built in its distinctive triangular shape to allow sunlight to shine on the street below.
