Air India’s inaugural non-stop flight from Delhi to San Francisco is taking off tomorrow. Air India, first established as Tata Sons Limited, began operations in 1932 as a domestic mail service; in postwar India, the newly renamed Air India acquired a few Lockheed Constellations and began their venture into international travel.
