@49ers Coach Bill Walsh selected six defensive players in the first six rounds of the 1981 draft, including future Pro Bowl defensive backs Ronnie Lott, Carlton Williamson and Eric Wright. Lott (left), a first-round pick from USC, established himself as an enforcer in the secondary. The future Hall of Famer intercepted seven passes as a rookie and returns three interceptions for touchdowns.
