The logistics of food service were not always a top priority in early aviation, however as the aviation industry developed so did passenger amenities. Top heavy wine glasses were redesigned to be more bottom heavy as to not break during turbulence. Pictured here is one of eight glasses used in the inaugural flight of the Hawaiian Clipper.
