#OnThisDay in 1960, the Pan American Worldport terminal opened at Idlewild Airport, now called John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. #PanAm operated out of the Worldport terminal until the airline ceased operations in 1991. Delta Airlines took over Worldport until May of 2013; the terminal was demolished the following month. These two pictures, taken in 1959, show the construction of the Worldport terminal.
