More than 30 renowned fashion houses and designers are represented in over 70 complete ensembles and accessories. "Fashion In Flight" reveals the design history and evolution of the airline uniform, its iconic status in popular culture, and its dynamic relationship to the world of fashion. See "#FashionInFlight" pre-security, in the Aviation Museum and Library and the Main Hall of the International Terminal. In 1968, United Air Lines introduced their first uniform designed by Oscar-winning Hollywood costumer Jean Louis (1907–97), who had worked with such stars as Rita Hayworth (1918–87), Lana Turner (1921–95), and Marilyn Monroe (1926–62).
