#OnThisDay in 1946, #Philippine Airlines became the first Asian Airline to cross the Pacific Ocean. This non-scheduled flight from Manila to #Oakland, CA, took 41 hours and stopped at #Guam, #Kwajalein, and #Honolulu, flying a DC-4.
