China Basin and Mission Bay in San Francisco have gone through an enormous transformation within the last twenty years. With the new hospitals of UCSF and Kaiser Permanente, along with new housing, Mission Bay is almost unrecognizable to how it looked twenty years ago. Let's go even further back; this photo by earlier aviator and mechanical engineer Stanley H. Page shows China Basin and Mission Bay as an industrial hot spot in the 1920s.
