#OnThisDay in 1924, the Huff Daland Dusters, based in Macon, Georgia, began one of the earliest known commercial aerial crop-dusting operations in America. In 1928, when C.E. Woolman took over the company, he renamed it Delta Air Service, a predecessor to the contemporary Delta Air Lines. Delta is one of the five remaining legacy air carriers in the U.S., along with Alaska, American, Hawaiian, and United. Have you ever flown on Delta Airlines?
