#Onthisday in 1977, Kenya Airways, the flag carrier of Kenya, commenced operations. The first scheduled flight was service from Nairobi to London via Frankfurt flown on a Boeing 707. The airline’s livery has always featured the three colors of the Kenyan flag; in 2005, a redesigned livery added the slogan, “The Pride of Africa” to their aircraft.
