During the 1930s, glider flying became a widespread activity around the world. In his book Youth Must Fly, Eugene F. McDonald (1886–1958), founder of the Zenith Radio Corporation, asserted “put our youngsters into gliders and teach them how to glide and soar.” #OnSilentWings
