In 1974, Qantas hired the celebrated fashion designer Emilio Pucci (1914–92) to create new, high-fashion uniforms for flight crews and ground staff. For Qantas’ female flight attendants, Pucci designed a floral pattern print dress, while flight service staff wore bright orange jackets (check out the detail work on the button!) with canary dress shirts and striped ties.
