A founding member of the American studio glass movement, Marvin Lipofsky travelled to Germany in 1980, where he completed two different series in the cities Zwiesel and Immenhausen. Lipofsky returned to Frauenau, Germany in 2000 and created this piece titled “Frauenau Group #2” at the International Glass Symposium with Czech glass artist Petr Novotny.
