This week for ‪#‎TravelTuesday‬, our Curator of Museum Affairs, Megan, would love to head off to ‪#‎Alaska‬ for her dream vacation! Though Alaska was not an declared official State until 1959, Pan American World Airways (‪#‎PanAm‬) was already flying to there as early as the 1930s. To entice tourists to visit Alaska, airlines would advertise Native Alaskan culture, untamed wilderness, and recreational activities. What would you do on a trip to Alaska?
