Did you know that Pan American World Airways had its own helicopter service? In 1982, #PanAm teamed up with Omniflight to provide complimentary helicopter service for its First and Clipper Class passengers. Passengers could take short flights to and from JFK Airport to Pan Am’s heliport atop the Pan Am building on 60th Street in Manhattan, and later, Newark Airport. The helicopter service ended in 1988.

Pan Am Express was a subsidiary of Pan American World Airways primarily focused on connecting passengers to Pan Am's hub at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) for Latin American and trans-Atlantic routes, but also provided regional services in many other areas of the U.S., as well as the Bahamas and Europe.
