On multi-stop journeys, airlines would pass out seat occupied cards to passengers in case they wished to temporarily disembark the aircraft at an airport along the way. This card indicated to other boarding passengers and cleaning crews that the seat was still occupied. Have you ever been on a multi-stop flight or used seat occupied cards?
