“Marguerite was a profound craftsperson and artist who took great pride in nurturing and teaching her students, not only to craft a pot, but how to look and to see. You have to look in order to see.” Forrest L. Merrill Often called a ‘kick wheel,’ this potter’s wheel belonged to Marguerite Wildenhain. During her early years at Pond Farm, she designed kick wheels for her studio in the style of European potter’s wheels. To run the wheel, the potter kicks one foot to move the larger wheel at the base.
