Air France engaged the House of Dior to launch its new collection in 1962 as the jet age transformed world travel. Created by chief designer Marc Bohan (b. 1926), it followed his 1961 “Slim Look.” Hailed by fashion critics, this pivotal uniform elegantly married mobility with sophistication. See more uniforms designed by Christian #Dior in "#FashionInFlight: A History of Airline Uniform Design", on display, pre-security, in the Aviation Museum and Library and the Main Hall of the International Terminal. The Aviation Museum and Library is open daily from 10am to 4:30pm. #fashion #hautecouture http://bit.ly/fashioninflight Air France stewardess uniform 1962 Christian Dior Courtesy of Air France L2016.0306.001.01-.04 This image was posted on October 07, 2016.
