Happy Birthday Air Canada! #Onthisday in 1937, Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA), the flag carrier of Canada, was founded by royal assent in Parliament. With a Stearman 4 and two Lockheed Model 10 Electras, TCA took to the skies; the airline's first flight was flown from Vancouver to Seattle on September 1, 1937. TCA was renamed Air Canada in 1965.
