What's going on at the museum? We're getting ready for an upcoming exhibition on 1950s consumerism. Here, our Conservator gives a little TLC to a lunchbox from the short-lived television program Men Into Space, which starred William Lundigan as Col. Edward McCauley. Although it aired for only one season (1959-60), the television action-adventure-drama envisioned an American space program—complete with trips to the moon, construction of a space station, and attempts to reach Mars. . .
