An Aircraft Marshaller or signal person is a person who visually communicates directions between the pilot of an aircraft and ground crew in order to direct the aircraft into a particular space or position. Marshalling wands are used to communicate signals and are lit up in the night. Through long-exposure photography, the marshalling wands help create this stunning image of an Aircraft Marshaller directing a TWA Boeing 707.
