Building for Space Travel See all the exhibitions.

This aviation exhibition was on display between August 2002 and January 2003 in the K-4A Aviation Museum Gallery 04a gallery, located in International Terminal

The exhibition illustrates the cultural influences that have shaped our ideas about architecture and design for space. Drawings, models, posters, space equipment, and other artifacts are organized into three groupings that represent extensions of life on Earth: The Cosmos; Conflict and the Conquest of Space; and Exploration and Inhabitation of the Wilderness. From the Art Institute of Chicago.
