Masks of Java and Bali: Dance, Drama, and Culture See all the exhibitions.

This nonaviation exhibition was on display between May 2001 and November 2001 in the C-03 Entrance Lobby C gallery, located in Terminal 1

In Java and Bali, "wayang topeng" and "wayang wong" (masked dance/dramas), along with puppet shows, have been the principal and most popular forms of entertainment for centuries. The exhibition includes approximately fifty masks made of painted or lacquered wood and decorated with beads, gold filigree, mirror glass, mother-of-pearl, straw, brass buttons, palm fiber, or bicycle-tire rubber.
