    The green paint on this piece of fuselage from a Ford 4-AT-E Tri-Motor is Zinc Chromate, a corrosion resistant protectant and organic matter barrier developed by the Ford Motor Company in the late 1920s and used to preserve metal aircraft parts and fuselages. #AviationAluminum This tweet was posted on April 03, 2019.
    The use of aluminum in airplane airframes was pioneered by Jugo Junkers, who in 1920 introduced the F 13, the world’s first all-metal airliner made of the aluminum alloy “Duralumin,” which was corrugated throughout the airframe for added strength. #AviationAluminum This tweet was posted on April 03, 2019.
