By October 1928, all four hangars located at Mills Field were finished. Hangar No. 1 was located 150 feet to the south of the first administration building built in 1927. Three additional hangars, finished the next year, were built next to Hangar No. 1. #MillsField

Century Pacific Air Lines was one of the early commercial airline companies to operate at Mills Field. In May of 1931, the company announced it would start service on the West Coast, and San Francisco was selected as its main base of operations.
