Turquoise-glazed temple cats are regarded as symbols of good luck in many Chinese traditions. Offered in a variety of poses, temple cats were typically created in matching pairs. These ceramic cats were likely made for the export market. A very special thank you to Sandy Lerner for making this exhibition possible.
