Many lamps from the 1950s represent an eclectic range of taste and design. Companies created lamps that featured novel, multi-purpose functions. Bilt-Rite Manufacturing of Chicago combined an aquarium, planter, and TV lamp into one unit—complete with an illustrated, mountain riverscape as a backdrop for the fish.
