From the 1950s to the 1970s, the Airline Textile Company of Des Moines, Iowa, dominated the production of U.S. based airline kits, including R.O.N. (Remain Over Night) kits. Loaded with many of the amenities one would need for an overnight stay if a flight were canceled, including hair cream and brushless shave cream, these kits were given out on to stranded passengers.
