Fred Eversley worked as an aerospace engineer until 1967, when he turned to making sculpture. As a medium, he uses transparent polyester resin to create rich optical experiences. To make these discs, the liquid plastic is spun around a vertical axis. The resulting centrifugal and gravitational accelerations form the concave surfaces.
