#Onthisday in 1982, the Boeing 767 was introduced into service by United Airlines on their Chicago-to-Denver route. The plane was the first two-engine widebody airliner produced by Boeing to compete with Airbus. More than 1,000 of the Boeing 767 have been delivered over the thirty-eight years the aircraft has been in service. The 767 is the only Boeing aircraft with freighter, passenger, and tanker versions.
