Julieanne Kost: Window Seat: The Art of Digital Photography and Creative Thinking See all the exhibitions.

This photography exhibition was on display between July 2007 and October 2007 in the F-03 Gate 76 gallery, located in Terminal 3

Photographer Julieanne Kost presents seventeen photographs of the American landscape from more than three thousand images taken from airline window seats over the course of five years of business travel. Many of her arresting images reveal the natural beauty and wonder of the Earth's surface. Some appear as abstract paintings or microscopic studies. Equally captivating are the geometric patterns that reveal the impact of humankind on the terrain. Kost's images are a reminder to jaded travelers to take a moment and examine the awesome and ever-changing landscape beneath them. Despite flying nearly 200 days a year for business, Kost declares: "I will always appreciate what I'm seeing…the unique view from 36,000 feet."
