A Salute to Pan American World Airways in the Pacific: 1935-1951 See all the exhibitions.

This aviation exhibition was on display between March 1993 and March 1993 in the D-04 Central Gallery gallery, located in International Terminal

This exhibition, designed to honor Pan American's great contribution to the development of a global air network, embraces the experimental period, during which the airline had to construct special flying boat bases in the lagoons at Midway and Wake Island; the survey flights conducted by a Sikorsky S-42B flying boat; the China Clipper, and its two sister ships; and the Boeing 314, larger and with longer range capability, which relaced the Martin in 1940.
