"Welcome Aboard" tells the history of airline flight packets from the 1920s to the present. As air travel became more affordable to the public, airlines recognized the need to inform, entertain, and enlighten passengers and began producing printed materials. Announcements of menu services and humorous illustrations promoting exciting destinations soon developed into an important marketing tool for the airline industry.
