An Evolution of Form: The American Chair See all the exhibitions.
This nonaviation exhibition was on display between April 2002 and November 2002 in the A-01 International South Wall gallery, located in International Terminal
The exhibition is organized chronologically beginning with the rectilinear armchair that was the earliest type of chair used in the American colonies and ending with the curved DCW (dining chair wood) designed by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s. In between are William and Mary, Queen Anne, Chippendale, and Victorian chairs and twentieth century examples made by architect/designers Frank Lloyd Wright and Greene and Greene.
